John Shuttleworth is the creation of Graham Fellows. Older readers may remember his first popular character, Jilted John and the pseudo punk hit single Gordon Is A Moron, but today we’re concentrating on John and his 2006 radio series John Shuttleworth’s Open Mind.
Open Mind was a weekly show that investigated Ghosts, Vampires, UFO’s, Fairies and The Bermuda Triangle. As usual John is accompanied by his Yamaha PSS portable keyboard and his manager Ken Worthington, who’s also on Twitter!
The characters of John Shuttleworth, his wife Mary, daughter Karen, son Darren, and Ken Worthington are all played by Graham Fellows, as is the highlight of this show “International Ghostbuster” Peter Cornelius. John is probably more well known for his music than his investigative skills and amazingly he has been around for 22 years.
Anyone interested can buy his albums or the full series of Open Mind here. It’s a great site with free downloads & video clips, and with song titles like ‘Have You Seen My Wife?’, ‘How To Be Happy In A Sad Sad World’ and ‘Pigeons In Flight’, how can you resist?
See you here tomorrow for our final Halloween post. It’s a big one and that’s all I’ll say.
