Listen. What’s that sound? It can’t be, can it? Sleigh Bells! Wait a minute, no, it’s just my hard drive falling apart. Need to get that looked at. It is Christmas though, whether you like it or not, and, as the UK suffocates under thick snowfall, what could be better than topping off your egg nog and relaxing with the Roomyverse Christmas Album.
I’ve tried again this year to find performers that we’ve featured or have the Roomyverse vibe. Which means you get a double helping of Elvis goofing around, a school band, J-Pop, radio sessions and mash-ups. There’s some classic stuff in there too, something for everybody really. A collection that perfectly captures the feeling of over-eating, drinking and arguing, before falling asleep in a piece of knitwear you’ll never wear again. It’s also one long mix this year, not separate tracks, almost an hour of festive frivolities.
Have fun, enjoy your kids, families and loved ones, but don’t forget the poor. I truly believe that the greatest gift you could give this year is taking your laptop to a poor family, let them have a listen to the Roomyverse Christmas Album, and watch as their filthy faces light up with joy. It’s what the season is all about.
